Victorian Contemporary...
This costume was made for the Malvern Three Counties Spring Garden Show. A group of us were asked to make a costume that reflected a garden that was designed for the show. As the garden was called Victorian Contemporary, we obviously used the Victorian sillhouette. We took elements from the surroundings to make the dress such as ivy, colours of the flowers and vines. The vines (willow in our case) were bent into place to create a crinoline (structure for a skirt) and the ivy etc was used for decoration. We had such fun doing this once we had woken up - 4am starts are not my cup of tea!!
